ELLIS Extends Export Expertise With Executive Appointment

Global cable cleat innovator and market leader, Ellis has expanded its sales team with the appointment of Luke Berridge as export sales executive.
The Rillington-based company, which exports to more than 40 countries through a worldwide distributor network, made the appointment to strengthen the sales side of the team; a move that has provided it with the scope to further expand its already impressive reach.
Tony Conroy, Ellis’ sales director, said: “The export division of the business has been built from virtually zero over the last 17-years and now accounts for half of the business’ annual turnover.”
“Our aim is to accelerate growth through the addition of new export markets, while continuing to develop sales opportunities across the current network. Luke’s appointment gives us the capacity to do this.”
Luke is a Spanish with business marketing graduate, who was previously employed as an employee engagement executive with Personal Group. His new role will initially see him seeking to identify and appointment distributors in new territories; working on sales and distributor relations in a variety of existing export markets; and providing support to the rest of the team on everything from new enquiries to helping secure new specifications.
Commenting on the role, Luke said: “This is huge opportunity for me at such an early stage of my career, and I’m really looking forward to the challenge. Hopefully I can make my mark on Ellis.”
Ellis’ sales team now extends to seven Rillington-based staff, Uruguay-based Latin American business development manager, Gabriela Castro, and its global distributor network.
