Sylvania’s New Wireless Room Control System Brings Smart Savings

Sylvania has launched SylSmart Standalone Room, a new wireless lighting control system providing an easy to install and program experience with the flexibility to change light settings according to room functionality. The solution is ideal for office or study areas like meeting rooms, classrooms and corridors.
LED lighting has long been acknowledged as the optimum solution for lowering energy usage. However, it must be well controlled in order to maximise energy saving potential. By installing SylSmart Standalone Room, wireless-enabled luminaires can be easily installed and require no additional control cables. By simply replacing old luminaire with SylSmart Standalone Room luminaries, anyone can take full control using the solution’s energy harvesting switch and wireless occupancy sensor. The switch requires no wires or batteries whilst the sensor only needs power and can be fully configured using an intuitive app. With the app, programming is quick and easy. User can make changes as needed, including post-installation, to adapt the setup to changing layouts and needs of the space and its occupants.
