Following its recent acquisition by US franchise Batteries Plus LLC, leading LED lighting retailer LEDHut Trade has strengthened its management team with the addition of a new marketing director, Simon Weigh.
Bringing with him almost 25 years’ experience in e-commerce and multi-channel retailing, Simon has previously worked for companies including eBay Enterprise, JD Williams and Boots. His new role at LEDHut will see him developing, implementing and overseeing a high-impact marketing strategy, focused on furthering the company’s rapid expansion and building on the success of its market-leading lighting brand, LUMiLife.
Simon says: “I’m delighted to be joining the LEDHut team at what is an incredibly exciting time for the business, not to mention the LED lighting market as a whole. Since launching in 2011, LEDHut’s trade offering has gone from strength to strength, with stock capacity quadrupling following the move to a 26,000 sq ft Manchester warehouse in 2014. The acquisition by Batteries Plus – which is the largest battery and lighting franchise in the States – marks the next big step towards the company’s future growth, both in the UK and overseas.
“Focusing our efforts on providing the ultimate LED lighting resource for the trade remains a crucial part of this – including developing our already successful LUMiLife brand, and cementing its position at the forefront of the market. This means ensuring we continue to offer the widest selection of top-quality LED products available, backed with competitive, tiered pricing, strong product guarantees, next-day delivery and, most importantly, unrivalled industry expertise. As LEDs become increasingly commonplace in the UK, we’re here to make sure tradespeople have the best possible resource at their fingertips to meet soaring demand.”
LEDHut Trade prides itself on being a one-stop-shop for quality, cost-effective LEDs.
